The platforms we are using started as community projects, open for everyone, supporters of free speech. But today, the platforms are more like providers of ads, ad-friendly content and "free" speech within platform-friendly limits.
It's time to change this narrative, it's time to take back the internet from advertisers and large corporations. We want to help enable broad monetization, to creators of all sizes and shapes, no limits - your community decides who gets paid what.
The "three pillars of creation"
Donators: These are the people that fuel the system, donators are able to provide crypto funds to a public pool, from this pool creators will receive a payout.
Users: The users will get two tools to build the community, a browser extension that allows to vote on content, directly on the blockchain, by clicking on vote buttons visible on the youtube video page. And an aggregator called "remonetize.news" that will provide a public ranking of creators and votes.
Creators: You're the engine that keeps the internet going! All you have to do is participate in a few, simple steps that don't require any financial or personal information - just create and add a magic string into your video description and you're monetized!
We need a community!
While the prototype is already online and running, to get this all into a streamlined and easily usable state, we need a community that supports us with decisions and actions, be it programmers, auditors, creators that shout out our mission - everyone is welcome!
Building trust
For you to be able to trust us as a developer team, we're publicizing all code and smart contracts that we create, we are also aiming to fund the creators with a kickstarter, so the donation pool has a starting amount from which the creators can draw.
Everything that is happening will be transparent, you can reach us directly, and any questions and concerns are regarded and discussed. This is our first project of this scale, we need you to do everything perfect!
